Deeply rooted in the heart of North Carolina, this authentic, no-nonsense bluegrass band was born from the meeting of close childhood friends: Mae, John, Luke, Dale, and Drake. Growing up in a region where life wasn't always easy and poverty was more common than wealth, they found refuge in music, using whatever they could find to make noise.

What began as a simple pastime, playing music together with improvised instruments, has transformed into a true musical family. Their sound is raw, sincere, and imbued with their lived experiences: simplicity, hardship, friendship, and hope.

Lead singer Mae, with her warm, raspy voice, brings an authentic, rootsy touch with her harmonica and percussion. John enriches the band with his versatility on the violin, fiddle, and even Hawaiian guitar, offering a surprising variation within traditional bluegrass. Luke provides a solid foundation with his acoustic guitar, while Dale, with his banjo, maintains the energy and dynamism characteristic of the genre. Drake completes the picture with a unique percussive style: drums, shuffle, spoons, and any other instrument that can keep the rhythm flowing.

There's still a long way to go in Europe, and by extension in the rest of the world, to raise awareness of them, because bluegrass is less known and appreciated here, wrongly so.
